Mythos

Three creation stories. One room that comes alive around you.

Chinese, Yoruba and Haudenosaunee stories become reactive walls, light trails, drums and colour—made with writers, artists and musicians from each community.

Attendance is the reported count for the CNE run, not a claim of unique visitors. Ratings and percentages describe the 114 surveyed guests, not every attendee. They describe this show; they are not a forecast for a new activation.

The challenge

A story you enter, on a busy fair floor.

Mythos needed to create a shared sense of wonder in the middle of the CNE. The room had to support people arriving together, finding their own way to participate and moving between stories.

The design connects cinematic worlds with simple actions: walk and leave a trail; move and change the wall; step into a drum floor; draw and contribute to a growing world. Participation becomes part of the storytelling.

Inside the experience

Different stories.
Shared participation.

Each world offers a clear action, a visible response and room to play alongside other guests.

The Great Race story projected across the floor and walls

The Great Race

The room surrounds guests with the story, connecting projected imagery with a floor and walls that respond to movement.

Guests play the interactive drum floor in Oshun's story

Oshun's world

A drum floor invites people into the action together. The guest's body becomes a way to participate in the story.

A world guests add to

The drawing interaction lets visitors contribute their own creatures. The CNE run recorded 13,478 guest drawings.

Delivery & relevance

One plan for story, software and show.

Secret Location's role covered creative and game design, art, tracking software and show control. The CNE hosted the fair run; the experience then moved into Illuminarium Toronto.

For a new brand experience, the transferable capability is the connection between guest action and a shared environment. A smaller activation still needs its own capacity target, footprint, queue plan and staffing model.

The show was made with writers, artists and musicians from the communities whose stories it presents. Specific project credits and the operating scope can be discussed with the studio.
